The Pawn Shop - 1916

Our hero (Charlie Chaplin) is a bungling apprentice in a Pawnshop. What starts as a minor scuffle with his colleague turns into an all-day battle between the two amid a variety of customers and one shady character in particular! Also stars Edna Purviance and Eric Campbell.

The General - 1927

Buster Keaton stars as Johnnie Gray, an engineer, who everyone in the south believes is a coward for not enlisting at the start of the American civil war. When Northern spies steal his beloved train he sets out to take it back, risking life and limb. He soon discovers that his estranged girlfriend Annabelle (Marion Mack) will be on the journey home with him. Will he become a hero?

The Adventures of Robin Hood - 1938

This is an 18 piece set representing the 1938 Errol Flynn movie The Adventures of Robin Hood. Our hero leads a revolt against the oppression of Prince John and his Norman Barons. All of the main characters are represented with their images on the front of the cards and their role in the movie on the reverse.

The Wizard of Oz - 1939

This colourful 18 card set is dedicated to the classic Wizard of Oz where Dorothy (Judy Garland) is whisked away to the magical land of Oz during a storm. In her quest to get home she meets Scarecrow, Tin man and Lion who all need something personal to be complete. Together they must find the Wizard of Oz before they are caught by the Wicked Witch of the West.

The Seven Samurai - 1954

This is a 9 piece custom-made trading card set representing the great Japanese movie Seven Samurai. Seven warriors assemble to protect a farming village from marauding bandits. This was Kurosawa's finest movie and it's character based style was the forerunner for many of Hollywood's greatest movies. This set reviews the story as per the film script and all the main characters are represented. Each Card is printed on both sides. On the front is the image and on the reverse is a description of their role in the movie.

Some Like It Hot - 1959

Joe (Tony Curtis) and Jerry (Jack Lemmon) have to go on the run after witnessing Spats and his gangsters commit mass murder. They disguise themeselves as girls and join an all girl band travelling to Florida. In the band is the beautiful but troubled Sugar (Marilyn Monroe) and Joe dons the disguise of a millionaire to woo her. Things are going ok until Spats and his gang arrive in Florida for a hoods convention!

Spartacus - 1960

This is an 18 piece set representing the Academy award winning movie Spartacus. Starring Kirk Douglas, Jean Simmons, Laurence Olivier and Tony Curtis. Spartacus is a slave who becomes a gladiator then a general as he seeks to lead his people to freedom. Rome is all powerful and must stop him at all costs. All the main characters are here with their story told on the back of each card.

One Million Years B.C - 1969

Caveman Tumak (John Richardson) is banished from the Rock Tribe for challenging his father.

He faces many dangers in the wilderness until he is found by Loana (Raquel Welch) a member of the Ocean Tribe. 

She teaches him their civilized way of life while he shows them how to kill.

Tumak heads home with her but his brother Sakana (Percy Herbert) is ready to take over the tribe by killing their father.

None of them know their lives will be changed by a disaster waiting to happen. The story of each character is shown on the reverse of the cards.

Phantom of The Paradise - 1974

Winslow Leach (William Finlay) is composing a cantata but his work is stolen by the crooked producer, Swan (Paul Williams). Leach is falsely imprisoned but, having escaped, he is disfigured in a music press. He resurfaces as The Phantom and haunts Swan's Paradise club. When he hears that his beloved Phoenix (Jessica Harper) has been betrayed he begins his retribution.
