Division One / Premier League Champions

Here you will find sets for the winners of England's top Football League.

Each 18 set contains cards for a Season Preview, Month by Month Reviews, Manager, Captain, Top Scorer, Most Appearances, Headliners and a Season Summary.

On the front of the Month by Month review cards is an image of a prominent player from the team and on the reverse of those cards is the player's profile and highlights from the matches played in that month.


Please note that in some of the Earlier sets pictures may have been used from a variety of sources including Sketches, players in the kit of another team or even non-footballing outfits (Liverpool 1901 for example). Please be sure you accept this before deciding to buy. However, if you do buy and are not satisfied I will issue a full refund on return of the cards. 


The "TRADINGCARDS1966" trademark will not be on the cards you receive.

1900-01 - Liverpool

Tom Watson's Liverpool took the title in 1901 captained by Alex Raisbeck. Sam Raybould bagged 17 goals.

1905-06 - Liverpool

Joe Hewitt scored 23 goals as Tom Watson's Reds won their second title. Once again Alex Raisbeck was the captain.

1921-22 - Liverpool

Donald McKinley captained Liverpool to their third title under the management of David Ashworth. Harry Chambers top scored with 19 goals.

1922-23 - Liverpool

It was back to back titles for Liverpool as Donald McKinley captained the side under Matt McQueen. Harry Chambers bagged 22 goals.  

1946-47 - Liverpool

Willie Fagan captained Liverpool to the title in the first competition after ww2. Jack Balmer hit 24 goals for George Kay's side.

1947-48 - Arsenal

Tom Whittaker's Gunners took the title in 1948 captained by Joe Mercer. Ronnie Rooke top scored with 33 goals.

1948-49 - Portsmouth

Bob Jackson led Portsmouth to the title captained by Reg Flewin. Peter Harris hit 18 goals.

1949-50 - Portsmouth

Portsmouth successfully defended the title in 1950. Ike Clarke found the net 17 times for the team captained by Reg Flewin and managed again by Bob Jackson. 

1950-51 - Tottenham Hotspur

Arthur Rowe's Spurs took the 1951 title. Sonny Walters topped scored with 15 goals and was ably supported by Len Duquemin who found the net 14 times.

1951-52 - Manchester United

Matt Busby had led Manchester United to their first title since 1911. Jack Rowley hit 30 goals as Johnny Carey captained the team.  

1952-53 - Arsenal

Led By Tom Whittaker The Gunners won their second post war league title. Joe Mercer captained the side while Doug Lishman top scored with 22 goals.


1953-54 - Wolverhampton Wanderers

Stan Cullis led Wolves to the title in 1954. The team was captained by legend Billy Wright while Dennis Wilshaw hit 25 goals. 

1954-55 - Chelsea

Ted Drake's Chelsea took the title to Stamford Bridge. Roy Bentley captained the side and top scored with 21 goals.

1955-56 - Manchester United

Matt Busby's Reds took the title in 1956. Roger Byrne captained the side as Tommy Taylor hit 25 goals.  

1956-57 - Manchester United

Manchester United successfully defended the title in 1957. Matt Busby's team were captained by Roger Byrne. Liam Whelan hit 26 goals.

1957-58 - Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves, managed by Stan Cullis, won their 2nd title in 1958. They were still captained by Billy Wright as Jimmy Murray hit 29 goals. 

1958-59 - Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves retained the title in 1959 under the management of Stan Cullis. Billy Wright was captain again as Jimmy Murray hit 22 goals. 

1959-60 - Burnley

Harry Potts led Burnley to the Division One Title in 1960. John Connelly top scored with 20 goals.

1960-61 - Tottenham Hotspur

The legendary manager, Bill Nicholson, achieved the League and Cup double in 1961. Bobby Smith scored 28 times as Captain Danny Blanchflower lifted the trophy.

1961-62 - Ipswich Town

Alf Ramsey led Ipswich Town out of Division Two and they won the Division One title the following season. Ray Crawford topped scored with 33 goals.

1962-63 - Everton

Everton took the title for the first time since 1939. Captain Roy Vernon top scored with 24 goals.

1963-64 - Liverpool

Bill Shankly's Reds took the title in 1964, captained by Ron Yeats. Roger Hunt hit a magnificent 31 goals.

1964-65 - Manchester United

The great Matt Busby took Manchester United to the title in 1965. Denis Law hit the net 28 times as he covered for injured captain, Noel Cantwell. 

1965-66 - Liverpool

Liverpool took the title for the second time in 3 years under the managership of Bill Shankly. Once again Roger Hunt top scored with 29 goals.

1966-67 - Manchester United

Matt Busby's Manchester United reclaimed the title they had won in 1965. Once again Denis Law top scored with 23 goals. 

1967-68 - Manchester City

Joe Mercer led Manchester City to their first league title since 1937 with Tony Book as his Captain. Neil Young top scored with 19 goals.

1968-69 - Leeds United

Don Revie's Leeds United had tasted success in cup competitions and this league title was the icing on the cake. Mick Jones set them on their way with 14 goals

1969-70 - Everton

Harry Catterick's Everton won the 1969-70 Division one title captained by Brian Labone. Joe Royle hit the net 23 times.

1970-71 - Arsenal

Bertie Mee took the Gunners to the League and FA Cup double in 1970-71. Ray Kennedy found the net 19 times.

1971-72- Derby County

Brian Clough had led Derby County out of the Second Division in 1969 and 3 years later they were crowned Division One champions. Alan Hinton top scored with 15 goals.

1972-73 - Liverpool

Bill Shankly's Reds took the title n 1973. Kevin Keegan and John Toshack top scored with 13 goals each. 

1973-74 - Leeds United

Don Revie led Leeds United to their second League title. Captain Billy Bremner lifted the trophy and Mick Jones topped scored on 14 goals. 

1974-75 - Derby County

Dave Mackay's Derby County followed up their title success of 1972 with another triumph in 1975. Bruce Rioch top scored with 15 League goals in 42 games.

1975-76 - Liverpool

Led by Bob Paisley, Liverpool dominated the division. John Toshack top scored with 16 goals.

1976-77 - Liverpool

Liverpool successfully defended their Division One title managed by Bob Paisley. Kevin Keegan topped scored with 12 goals.

1977-78 - Nottingham Forest

Brian Clough took Forest to the title in their first season back in the top flight. Peter Withe and John Robertson both scored 12 goals each.

1978-79 - Liverpool

Bob Paisley's Reds put on an amazing final run to take the title once more. Kenny Dalglish hit the net 21 times.

1979-80 - Liverpool

The Reds marched to another title in 1979-80 under Bob Paisley. David Johnson was the top scorer with 21 goals.

1980-81 - Aston Villa

Ron Saunders led Aston Villa to the title in 1981. Peter Withe top scored with 20 goals.

1981-82 - Liverpool

Bob Paisley's Liverpool regained the League title in 1982 as Ian Rush top scored with 17 goals.

1982-83 - Liverpool

It was two titles in a row for Liverpool as Bob Paisley led them to another victory. Once again Ian Rush was top scorer with 24 goals.

1983-84 - Liverpool

Joe Fagan took over as manager and led Liverpool to an historical third title in a row. Ian Rush bagged 32 goals.

1984-85 - Everton

Everton finally halted Liverpool's dominance to take the 1985 title under Howard Kendall. Graeme Sharp top scored with 21 goals.

1985-86 - Liverpool

Kenny Dalglish was in the manager's chair as Liverpool won a close run battle with rivals Everton. Once again Ian Rush top scored with 22 goals.

1986-87 - Everton

Once again Howard Kendall's Everton took the title. Top scorer this season was Trevor Steven with 14 goals. 

1987-88 - Liverpool

Having lost out to rivals Everton in 1987 Liverpool, led by Kenny Dalglish, took back the title in 1988. John Aldridge was top scorer with 26 goals.

1988-89 - Arsenal

After a decade of Merseyside dominance the trophy was won by Arsenal under the leadership of George Graham. Alan Smith top scored with 23 goals.

1989-90 - Liverpool

Kenny Dalglish led Liverpool to their 18th title in 1990. John Barnes top scored with 22 goals.

1990-91 - Arsenal

The trophy returned to Highbury as George Graham led Arsenal to the title. Tony Adams was the captain and Alan Smith was the top scorer with 22 goals.

1991-92 - Leeds United

One season after being promoted from Division Two Howard Wilkinson took Leeds United to the Division one title. Lee Chapman scored 16 goals.

1992-93 - Manchester United

Alex Ferguson led United to his first league title. Bryan Robson captained the team while Mark Hughes scored 15 goals.

1993-94 - Manchester United

Alex Ferguson's United successfully defended the title in 1993-94. Steve Bruce was captain in the absence of Bryan Robson. Eric Cantona hit 18 goals.

1994-95 - Blackburn Rovers

Kenny Dalglish led Blackburn Rovers to their first league title since 2014. Alan Shearer top scored with 34 goals.

1995-96 - Manchester United

Manchester United, under Alex Ferguson, took back the title in 1995-96. Steve Bruce captained the side as Eric Cantona hit 14 goals.


1996-97 - Manchester United

It was another set of back to back titles for Alex Ferguson's Reds. Eric Cantona was the captain as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer top scored with 18 goals.

1997-98 - Arsenal

Arsene Wenger led Arsenal to their first title since 1989. The Gunners were captained by the legendary Tony Adams as Dennis Bergkamp hit 16 goals.

1998-99 - Manchester United

Under Alex Ferguson, Manchester United achieved the first leg of their historic treble in 1999. Roy Keane was captain as Dwight Yorke hit 18 goals.

1999-00 - Manchester United

It was two in a row again for Alex Ferguson's United. Roy Keane was captain again as Dwight Yorke hit 20 goals.

2000-01 - Manchester United

Alex Ferguson's United scored a hat-trick of title wins with another victory in 2001. Roy Keane was still captain as Teddy Sheringham scored 15 goals.

2001-02 - Arsenal

Arsenal took the 2001-02 title under the management of Arsene Wenger. Tony Adams led the team again as the Mercurial Thierry Henry scored 24 goals.

2002-03 - Manchester United

Alex Ferguson led Manchester United to another title in 2002-03. Roy Keane was the captain while Ruud van Nistelrooy hit 25 goals.

2003-04 - Arsenal

Arsene Wenger's Arsenal became the first team to complete a season unbeaten since 1889. Patrick Vieira was the captain as Thierry Henry hit 30 goals for the "Invincibles".

2004-05 - Chelsea

Jose Mourinho led Chelsea to their first title in 50 years. John Terry was captain as Frank Lampard scored 13 goals.

2005-06 - Chelsea

It was back to back titles for Jose Mourinho's Chelsea. John Terry captained the side as Frank Lampard hit 19 goals.

2006-07 - Manchester United

The title came back to Old Trafford for United's 16th title. Alex Ferguson managed the team. Gary Neville was captain as Cristiano Ronaldo top scored with 17 goals.

2007-08 - Manchester United

Alex Ferguson made it two titles in a row for Manchester United. Ryan Giggs stepped in as captain during Gary Neville's injury. Cristiano Ronaldo top scored with 31 goals.

2008-09 - Manchester United

Man Utd made it a hat-trick of titles under the management of Alex Ferguson. Gary Neville captained the team as Cristiano Ronaldo hit 18 goals.

2009-10 - Chelsea

Carlo Ancelotti was in charge as Chelsea won the title. John Terry was the captain as Didier Drogba hit an excellent 29 goals.

2010-11 - Manchester United

United were back on form to take the title in 2010-11. Alex Ferguson's Reds were captained by Nemanja Vidic as Dimitar Berbatov top scored with 20 goals.

2011-12 - Manchester City

Manchester City finally won the Premier League title under Roberto Mancini. Vincent Kompany captained the team as Sergio Aguero hit 23 goals.

2012-13 - Manchester United

Alex Ferguson led United to the title for the last time before retiring. Nemanja Vidic was captain and Robin Van Persie hit 26 goals. It would be United's 20th title.

2013-14 - Manchester City

Manuel Pellegrini led City to the title with his team captain Vincent Kompany. Yaya Toure was top scorer with 20 goals.

2014-15 - Chelsea

Jose Mourinho returned to lead Chelsea to another title. John Terry was captain as Diego Costa hit 20 goals.

2015-16 - Leicester City

Claudio Ranieri's Foxes stunned their rivals with this title success having started the season as 5000-1 outsiders. Wes Morgan skippered the side as Jamie Vardy hit 24 goals.

2016 -17 - Chelsea

Antonio Conte was at the helm for Chelsea's title success. It would be the 5th and last time as captain for the departing John Terry. Diego Costa scored 20 goals.

2017-18 - Manchester City

Pep Guardiola was in charge for City's 2018 title win. David Villa stood in as captain for the injured Vincent Kompany. Sergio Aguero hit 21 goals.

2018-19 - Manchester City

It was back to back titles for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City. Once again David Villa was acting captain as Sergio Aguero hit 21 goals.

2019-20 - Liverpool

After a 30 year wait Liverpool were English champions again. Jurgen Kopp's Reds were captained by Jordan Henderson. Mohamed Salah scored 19 goals.
