Carry On Movies

These sets are dedicated to the British comedy series of Carry On movies featuring all your favourites, Sid James, Barbara Windsor, Hattie Jaques, Kenneth Williams, Bernard Bresslaw, Jim Dale, Joan Sims, Charles Hawtrey and all those actors and actresses who made this series an institution.

All the Carry On films have sets here and are listed in chronological order.

Plese note all sets are made up of 18 cards each except the Carry On Columbus set which has 36.

Carry on Sergeant - 1958

Sergeant Grimshawe is retiring in 10 weeks and has never had a champion platoon. Sgt O'Brien wagers he never will and all looks lost when his last platoon turn out for their first parade! A platoon including a hypocondriac, a rock and roller, a dropout, a toff and a psychologist are never going to get him his prize...or are they? If Charlie Sage can have his honeymoon night with his new bride Mary he might be able to help them all!

Carry On Nurse - 1959

Stella Dawson is a trainee nurse and has been thrown in at the deep end while trying to impress the very stern Matron. Her job is not made easy by her being accident prone! She also has to contend with a variety of patients, the worst being a very demanding Colonel! There is also love brewing amid the starched sheets!

Carry On Teacher - 1959

 

Wakey Wakefield is the Headmaster at Maudlin Street School but has his sights set on a new school in the country. To get that position he needs his staff and pupils to be on their best behaivour while the school inspector Wheeler visits with Child Psychiatrist Grigg in tow. The Pupils revolt led by Stevens plays havoc with his plans but maybe it is all for a good cause.

Inspector Mills has a problem as most of his station has gone down with Flu! Help arrives in the form of 3 recruits from Police School, Constable Potter, Constable Benson and Constable Constable! Sgt Wilkins knows his job is on the line if these 3 fail...and they do, constantly. Only a major arrest can save them all! What can go wrong when a group of unemployable people enrol at The Helping Hands job agency? Plenty! Bert Handy finds work for all of them but self inflicted errors and mix ups cause chaos wherever they go! All looks lost until the babbling Landlord arrives with a proposal to save the agency!

Captain Wellington Crowther has his old ship but a new crew. He wants to command the prestigious Atlantic service but his new shipmates seem to scupper his chances at every turn despite only trying to impress him as well as keep the passengers happy. Flo and Esme are aboard looking for love and Haines the cook has a secret recipe up his sleeve for the Captain's party.

Charlie Hawkins runs the largest cab company in town but his poor wife Peggy wants him to to retire to the country. When he refuses she decides to drive him out of business by starting a cab company of her own! Can Charlie's old time drivers compete with the Glamourous Gals? With Pintpot and Albright on his side he might not even get out of the garage! All of the main characters are represented with their deeds on the reverse of each card!

Carry on Jack - 1963

Poor Albert Poop-Decker, he has been press-ganged into joining the very ship he was assigned to in the first place but no one aboard will believe who he is, especially as someone is already aboard posing as him! On Deck, Officers Howett and Angel are fed up with the Fearful Captain Fearless and use Albert to get rid of him. They think they have succeeded until their paths cross again at sea!

B.O.S.H has lost a secret formula to Doctor Crow and the STENCH organisation. With only Agent Simpkins and his three inept trainee agents available they have to get it back. At least they have Agent Carstairs in the field and who is the mysterious Lila? All of the main characters are represented with their deeds on the reverse of each card!

Carry on Cleo - 1964

  

The Roman's roamed all over and in ancient Britain they find Hengist Pod and Horsa, two tribesmen who take different paths. The heroic Horsa becomes a slave but the inept Pod becomes Caesar's personal bodyguard as there is treachery all around him, even from his closest friend Mark Anthony! Caesar needs an alliance with Egypt and the beautiful Cleopatra but Mark Anthony has his eye on her too! Maybe Pod can save the day! All of the main characters are represented with their deeds on the reverse of each card!

Carry on Cowboy - 1965

This is an 18 card set representing the Wildest West! The Rumpo Kid rides into Stodge city, rootin' tootin' and lootin' and Marshal P.Nutt is sent to clean up the town. Unfortunately Nutt is a sewage engineer but with the help of sharp shooter Annie Oakley he sets about reclaiming the territory. All of the main characters are represented with the story of their antics on the reverse of the cards.

Carry on Screaming - 1966

 

When Albert Potter loses his girl, Doris, in the woods he enlists the help of Detective Bung. As they delve deeper into the mystery they find sinister goings-on at the Bide-a-Wee home in Hocombe Woods, home of the strange Orlando and Valeria Watt. Their creation, Odd Bod, is on the loose creating havoc but now he has a junior sidekick! All of the main characters are represented with their deeds on the reverse of each card!

Carry on Don't Lose Your Head - 1966

France has had its Revolution and the Citizens are executing the nobilty. Having heard of their plight 2 English Nobles, Rodney Ffing and Darcy Pue, don their numerous disguises in and attempt to rescue them all. Ffing becomes the The Black Fingernail and trying to stop them is Citizens Camembert and Bidet. They seek him here, there and everywhere to no avail.

Carry on Follow That Camel - 1967

 

Poor Bertram West has commited the foulest of English crimes...having his team mate run out at cricket! He heads off to the Sahara to join the Foreign legion and to forget! The scandal is...a scandal and Lady Jane heads after him to tell him the truth. Sheik Abdul wants to rid the sands of the accursed Commander Max and his Legionairres but with"heroes" like Sgt Knocker in the fort he faces a tough task! All of the main characters are represented with their deeds on the reverse of each card!

Carry on Doctor - 1967

Thankfully Dr Kilmore does not live up to his name and the patients at the Finisham hospital love him. Unfortunately Dr Tinkle and his Matron need him out of the way to cover their little trist! With patients like Charlie Roper and Ken Biddle as well as Mavis Winkle and Nurse Clarke there is a good chance they will fail. Also along for the ride is dodgy faith healer Mr Bigger who gets some very bad news indeed! All of the main characters are represented with the story of their antics on the reverse of the cards.

Carry on Up the Khyber - 1968

This is an 18 card set depicting the Carry On team's antics as they get stuck up the Khyber pass! Sir Sidney Ruff-Diamond represents the British Empire but when the Khasi of Kalabar discovers The British Devils in Skirts have found a new way to keep out the chill from the Pass he recruits Bungdit-In and his army of Burpas to take control of the region. He does not bank on The stiff upper lip of the British and chaos ensues! All of the main characters are represented with their antics on the reverse of the cards.

Carry on Camping - 1969

This is an 18 card set representing the Carry On team's antics in Paradise but it is not what Sid and Bernie were expecting! In this camp the campers keep their clothes on! We find ourselves in the company of Babs and the girls, Dr Soaper, The Potters and Mr Muggins as they all find themselves under canvas! All of the main characters are represented with the story of their antics on the reverse of the cards.

Carry on Again Doctor - 1969

 

Poor Jimmy Nookey, he is more of a danger to his patients than a Doctor. Dr Carver and Doctor Stoppage hatch a plot to get rid of him and it works. He is set to a remote hospital in the Baetific islands where he meets Gladstone Screwer who just might save his career and make him a frtune back home. When he returns everyone is after his secret!

Carry on Up the Jungle - 1970

  

Inigo Tinkle and Claude Chumley head off into darkest Africa in search of the Oozalum Bird but it would seem birds of a more lusty sort are after them, The Lubbie Dubbies! Also pursuing the party through the Jungle are The Noshas who have other tastes! Leading them all are Bill Boosey and his faithful guide, Upsidaisi, and out in the trees is Ugh who has a secret link to Evelyn Bagley. All of the main characters are represented with their deeds on the reverse of each card!

Carry on Loving - 1970

 

This is a dating agency named Bliss but not by nature! Sidney and Sophie pretend to be married to drum up business but their inexperience causes chaos for their clients such as Philpott and Muffet who could miss out on budding actress Sally Martin and the busty Jenny Grubb! Mr Snooper from Citizen's Advice also needs to find a wife to save his job! Can Bliss help him? Not Likely! All of the main characters are represented with their deeds on the reverse of each card!

Carry on Henry - 1971

 

King Henry the 8th of England has beheaded his latest wife to Marry Marie of Normandy but what he got was a wife who thrived on garlic. With the Help of Cromwell and Wolsey he sets out to divorce her. Things become tricky when she falls pregnant and Henry is not the father! Someone is going to lose their head! Having consigned her to the Bloody Tower he sets his eyes on Bettina but has some explaining to do when The King Of France arrives looking for his cousin, Marie! Carry on At your Convenience - 1971

 

WC Boggs toilet makers are not exactly Flushed with success as Union man Vic Spanner keeps on calling everyone out on Strike. Boggs' son Lewis has his eye on Sid Plummer's daughter Myrtle while Sid has his ear on a Race-Tipping Budgie called Joey! With the company going down the pan Boggs decides to take everyone to Brighton for the day. All of the main characters are represented with their deeds on the reverse of each card!

Carry on Matron - 1972

Sid Carter needs someone on the inside of the Finisham maternity clinic so he can steal a consignment of pills. There is only one person he can rely on, his son Cyril, and he pursuades him to go in disguised as a student nurse. Things become tricky when Cyril performs maternal heroics and makes the front pages! Meanwhile is their really a love triangle forming between the Matron and doctors Cutting and Goode?

Vic Flange is taking a sneaky trip away with his girlfriend Sadie until his wife Cora decides to come along! As they head off to Elsbels in Spain they are joined by the Blunts, Brother Bernard and Eustace Tuttle only to be greated in Spain by the hopeless Pepe and Floella who run the crumbling hotel! The seaside town of Fircombe is in need of a revival so councillor Sidney Fiddler pursuades the mayor to hold a beauty contest. This angers the local women's movement lead by Augusta Prodworthy and as the pretty girls begin to arrive she sets out to knobble the whole thing.

The scourge of the Highways and The Bow Street Runners is BIG Dick Turpin who, with his gang of Harriet and Tom, commits Highway robbery. Eventually he picks on the wrong man, Sir Roger Daley, and he empowers Captain Fancey and Jock Strapp to capture the secretive villian at all costs. Little do they know he is closer than they think! All of the main characters are represented with their deeds on the reverse of each card!

Carry on Behind - 1975

Professors Crump and Vooshka head off to a caravan site where Roman remans have been found. Vooshka's English is not so good....does she really mean cramped or crumpet? Fred and Ernie are also heading to the camp to fish for some girls but when they meet Carol and Sandra they get a bigger bite than they want! And what is the link between Henry and Daphne! All of the main characters are represented with their deeds on the reverse of each card!

Don't you know there is a war on they used to ask! This lot certainly don't. The only action they see is under the bed sheets. That is until Capt S.Melly arrives to whip this artillery battery into shape. Sgts Willing and Able do all they can to foil his plans. Meanwhile, Sgt Major Bloomer has to to fend off the amorous Ffoukes with two Fs!

Flirty Emmannuelle has arrived in London in an attempt to seduce her uninterested husband but he is not interested since a painful incident with a church spire! To pass the time she finds her way into the beds of many important people as well as her husband's staff! Things go too far, however, when a stalker finds her in bed with the Prime Minister!

Carry on Columbus - 1992

The Sultan of Turkey controls all of the trade from East to West for a sizeable fee until he hears that Columbus may have discovered an alternative route by sea so he sends his best spy Fatima to find out more. Columbus has put together a motley crew of traders, prisoners and officials to man the Santa Maria in his quest. The voyage is perilous, especially with this crew, and when they finally discover the New World they find out the natives are not as dumb as they thought!

This set is made up of 36 cards. The film makers combined a wealth of contempory British comedy talent with a sprinkling of former Carry on Stars and it is only fitting they are all represented here.
